Hey y'all, it's your podcast bestie Jama coming at you once again. Okay, this episode's a little bit different. I didn't plan it and, honestly, I even debated if this was the one worth recording, but I figured, if I'm second-guessing myself right now, you probably are too. It is almost 10 o'clock on Monday night and this will drop Tuesday morning. So yeah, that's what I mean when I say second guessing and wondering what I'm doing, and definitely not something I planned. So I have once again found myself in that familiar spiral of self-doubt that plagues so many of us high performing women. Those nagging questions keep coming in Am I doing this right? Should I push through or take a pause? Does my voice even matter anymore?
Jama Pantel:This unplanned, unscripted episode emerged from my realization that if I'm feeling this uncertainty, others probably are too. While maintaining my client commitments, because that's what we all do right? I've been procrastinating my own content and questioning my own purpose. It's that strange dichotomy of high achievers showing up flawlessly for others while privately wondering if we should be showing up at all. So, as I've transitioned from just a photographer to the "hot mess that I am I mean multi-passionate entrepreneur that I am with this podcast and educational content and the soon to be released app. It's a lot. I don't necessarily question my qualifications or abilities. I mean I know I know my stuff, but I second guess if it's even worth it. Like, will I mess up? Will anyone want what I have to offer? Those are my second guessing doubts. So I wonder what are yours? I know others have to have them too and based on conversations that I've had in real life lately, I know I'm not alone. So here is me giving us all permission, myself included, to feel what we feel while we work through it. So what's been helping me navigate the season of doubt? Running long walks, gym sessions and losing myself in books, activities that ground me when everything else feels uncertain.
Jama Pantel:So, whatever your activities are, do them, enjoy them. Give yourself the grace to just feel and be and do. I'm learning that, even as someone who advocates for being the face of your brand, taking these little breaks... It's not failure, it's essential maintenance. Showing up authentically sometimes means acknowledging when you're not okay, when you're not feeling it, trusting that real connection happens in these vulnerable moments. If you're doubting yourself right now, consider this your permission slip to pause, reflect and return more aligned than ever before, whenever you're ready. It is your timeline. This isn't weakness, it's the wisest form of strength. So how are you giving yourself grace during these uncertain times? I'd love to hear your stories. You can always send me an email at jama@ jama pantel. com. So that's all for now. Thanks for tuning in. I really appreciate you being here. Have a good one.
